Gwin, Dobson & Foreman, Inc. designed a new 16,800 sq. ft. multi-purpose building at the Jefferson County Enterprise Park at I-80, off Exit 81 near Brookville, PA. This facility is used as a business incubator for light industrial tenants and as headquarters for the Jefferson County Development Council, Inc.
This project included the following features:
- Steel framed building (120’x140′) with architectural wall panels and standing seam steel roof
- Administration area (2,000 sq. ft.) complete with three business offices, reception area, kitchenette, women’s and men’s restrooms, conference room, storage room and utility/mechanical room
- Tenant area (14,000 sq. ft.) outfitted for three light industrial businesses with common access corridor, restroom facilities and individual electrical, HVAC and plumbing (gas, water, sewer) fitout
- Loading dock including roof structure, drains, concrete retaining walls, dock leveler, and overhead coiling door for direct access to common tenant corridor
- Paved entrance road and 40-space parking lot including ADA compliant, van accessible spaces
- Stormwater management system complete with roof drainage collection system, draining swales, culverts and detention facility
- Facility was temporarily used as the Jefferson County Courthouse during a renovation project for judicial, prothonotary and register/recorder functions
