Gwin, Dobson & Foreman, Inc. was the prime professional for the new 76,000 square foot, Bedford County Courthouse addition. The project included renovations to the existing courthouse and Lyons Building and construction of a 150-space parking garage.
The new office building will enable the Bedford County Board of Commissioners to consolidate county government offices and improve efficiency and security. The $21 million project houses county office functions and eliminates the need for leased office space. The new courthouse is an integral part of the Historic Bedford District.

- 911 center including all telecommunications and system interface
- Secured prisoner elevator and holding area
- Parking garage limestone facade with low profile design
