Gwin, Dobson & Foreman, Inc. designed renovations to the hospital cafeterias and canteen areas at the University Drive and Highland Drive Veterans Administration medical centers. Existing areas were redesigned to create food court settings. GD&F designed all necessary building architectural systems, HVAC, plumbing, sprinkler and electrical renovations.
The project included the following facilities:
- Renovation of three adjoining dining areas
- Complete expansion and renovation of retail stores
- Relocation and renovations to the Voluntary Services office, storage areas and canteen manager’s office
The contract documents delineated specific construction phasing and sequencing requirements to insure efficient construction progress and completion of each activity in a timely manner.
