Client: Tri-Star Ford Blairsville
Year Completed: 2002
Project Cost: $1,000,000
Gwin, Dobson & Foreman, Inc. designed extensive renovations in order to transform an existing supermarket to an automobile dealership.
The result is a single story, 30,000 square foot building structure that houses separate dealerships connected by a common drive-through service entrance. GD&F worked closely with the client to successfully develop specific project and budget goals.
The general construction type is light commercial, non-combustible, with custom interior design features. The store-front detailing consists of a new Exterior Insulation and Finish System (EIFS) with large glass window walls.
Major features include the central drive-through quick lane service, show rooms, customer service lounge, finance offices, sales work station area, employee lunch room, administrative and managers' offices, meeting/training room, rest rooms, rooms for service department administration and records, technical library, special tools, parts department and storage, automotive service bays, commercial truck bay and detailing bay.
GD&F provided complete bid phase and construction phase services, shop drawing reviews, contractor coordination, pay applications, including periodic site visits to verify completion of work, punchlists and mechanical and electrical systems start-up verification.
