Fraser Street Streetscape Improvements

State College Borough hired Gwin, Dobson & Foreman for construction consultation and inspection services on their $1.0 million Fraser Street realignment project.

The project included installation of new curb-gutter, preparation of sub-grade, new asphalt base and wearing courses, new pavement markings, making adjustments to the storm sewer system, new concrete and brick sidewalk, textured crosswalks and handicapped ramps (with truncated domes), new decorative style traffic signals and luminaries and amenities such as benches, streetlights and trees.

Specific inspection tasks included maintaining a master diary and project files; measuring payment quantities and performing estimates; all work authorizations and work orders, all within ECMS. GD&F was responsible for project closeout which included final estimate and work orders reconciliation, as-built drawings, contractor evaluations and project record maintenance.
