GD&F designed a new athletic field complex at the Moshannon Valley High School. This facility will be used for high school football, track & field and soccer events.
This $3.5 million project included the following features:
- Athletic field grading, subgrade preparation, drainage system, subbase, sod and turf installation
- Home side bleacher complex for seating of 1,000 spectators and visitor side bleachers for seating of 500 spectators, both are ADA compliant
- Masonry field house complex including locker rooms, restrooms and equipment storage
- Ticketing, concessions and restrooms facility
- Press box including sound system and public address
- Field lighting consisting of four (4) poles; 4-cross arms/pole (34,500 watts/pole) with Lithonia Tru-Support fixtures/lenses (92 total). Light standards, bases, cross arms and speaker brackets included
- Lighting design included a computer generated point-by-point, light scan based on 1500 watts and 162,000 Lumens/lamp to confirm required footcandle levels
GD&F performed all professional design services along with construction administration and inspection.
